The Printer Communication System module uses the lxdccoms.exe process, which is an executable application resource item. This module is a small program that is built into the firmware components and device driver software utilities of certain Lexmark printer models, and this module aids these resources in facilitating communications between the Windows-based system where the associated Lexmark printer is connected to, networked computers (if any), the Lexmark printer device and its firmware distributions and drivers along with various third party and built-in Windows applications that require printing functionalities. The lxdccoms.exe process is distributed alongside other EXE application resource components, certain SYS driver utilities, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, specific background process items and various components, which are all packaged into the installer distributions of these associated Lexmark printer firmware components and device driver software utilities. This means the lxdccoms.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of the Printer Communication System module along with these Lexmark printer drivers and firmware resources.

To stop lxdccoms.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Lexmark Printer Firmware/Driver Software and Lexmark Communication System Module and Printer Communication System Module, from your system.
