Java Platform SE binary or One is the term used as the service name of the process local.exe, which is an example of an executable or EXE file, and is a part of the software product called One or Java Platform (version SE 6), which is created by Sun Microsystems, Inc. When the program that houses the file is downloaded, the local.exe process is also added into the system, where it is registered into the Windows registry with a run identifier and an execution command, stored on a file folder, usually in C:\Program Files, and begin to run to launch its function. As a Windows process, local.exe is able to run in Microsoft Windows Operating System, also called as Windows operating system, or Windows OS, which include the following versions: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. local.exe. is used by One or Java Platform (version SE 6), If you shut down local.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop local.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is One or Java Platform (version SE 6), from your system.
