The hfdrv.sys file is a process that uses no visible window. It is a driver. It is not a system process. It may be a compressed file. A driver is a computer application that controls or operates a certain device that is connected to the computer. It communicates with the device usually by means of a communications subsystem or a computer bus that is connected to the hardware. The driver directs commands to the device when a program sends instructions for a task to be done. When the device sends back data, the driver will call for procedures from the original calling program. A driver is operating-system-specific and dependent on hardware. It acts as translator between an operating system or application and the device to simplify programming. It usually provides interrupt handling that is needed for an important asynchronous time-dependent hardware interface.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hfdrv.sys. is used by hfdrv.sys, If you shut down hfdrv.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hfdrv.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is hfdrv.sys, from your system.
