Called as EPSON Status Monitor version 3 as its service name, the e_s10ic2.exe process, also known as EPSON Status Monitor 3, is a component of the software product called EPSON Status Monitor (version 3), which is developed by Seiko Epson Corporation. EPSON Status Monitor is usually bundled in certain models of printing devices, including EPSON Stylus C44 Series Printer. What the EPSON Status Monitor does is to check ink levels and other information, like notifying the use about paper jamming or idle printing. When the application is installed, e_s10ic2.exe is also downloaded, registered itself into the Windows registry, stored on a file folder, and begin running as a background service. In addition to this, e_s10ic2.exe is compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems,including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. e_s10ic2.exe. is used by EPSON Status Monitor, If you shut down e_s10ic2.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop e_s10ic2.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is EPSON Status Monitor, from your system.
