The dm1service.exe process is also known as Olympus DM1Service module, and this file is bundled with the driver software and firmware resources of certain supported Olympus devices. The dm1service.exe is an executable file that is implemented with data encoding standards and program logic compilation specifications normally integrated into the content of files stored in the EXE format. The dm1service.exe process initializes when a user requests for an integrated feature of the Olympus DM1Service applet that is associated to the source code stored in the dm1service.exe file. When activated, the dm1service.exe process calls on other program files in order to activate them, and it also searches for relevant modular system resources and application-specific modules that it needs to reference. The dm1service.exe process does these things in order to help the Olympus DM1Service software in performing the associated function that was requested by the user from the application.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dm1service.exe. is used by Olympus DM1Service, If you shut down dm1service.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dm1service.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Olympus DM1Service, from your system.
