What is colbac.dll
The colbac.dll file has been reported by many users as a malicious application that has been classified by the anti-malware tools installed in their Windows-based systems as a component of the Win32/Boaxxe.B application, which is a family of Trojans reported to infect unprotected Windows-based systems, especially those with unencrypted TCP/IP network ports, missing system security certificates and outdated Web browsers. Other user groups state that the colbac.dll file has been flagged by their system security applications as a malicious program variant of the TROJ_BZUP.AG and TROJ_PODNUHA.I malware items, which are also families of Trojans, worms and backdoor rootkits. In all these instances, these users claim that the colbac.dll file is capable of downloading more malicious applications unto the system from remote servers that are managed and operated by the authors of this malware, upon exploiting the unencrypted TCP/IP network ports of the infected system, which the colbac.dll file uses to initiate contact with those remote servers. In some cases, a few users state that the colbac.dll file is capable of hijacking outdated Web browsers, particularly changing the homepage settings of those Web browsers into URLs that point to websites that are managed by its authors (or associated companies).
