The cfishlex.dll file is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module implemented into the system by the CFi ShellToys software, which is a Windows program classified as a Windows shell extension and enhancement application that was developed by Cool Focus International with a set of features for adding more than 50 context menu items to the Windows Explorer shell, such as options for shredding or removing groups of files and folders among other useful functions. The cfishlex.dll file is placed in the system upon the installation of the CFi ShellToys software, and this module is referenced by the CFi ShellToys program whenever any of the context menu items this application has added to the Windows Explorer shell is displayed in the system or is selected by the user. The cfishlex.dll file is included in the component files and resource libraries bundled into the installer distribution packages of the CFi ShellToys software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cfishlex.dll. is used by CFi ShellToys and CFi ShellToys Library, If you shut down cfishlex.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cfishlex.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CFi ShellToys and CFi ShellToys Library, from your system.
