The file avgtray.exe is also known as the AVG Tray Monitor file. This file is from the software AVG Internet Security. This software is literally owned and developed by AVG Technologies CZ, s.r.o. This program prevents those malicious program on destroying data in the Personal Computer (PC). This program may also prevent malicious application from stealing identity as well as cash (when paying through the internet). The file may be found in the C:\Program Files and the known file size of 2,033,432 bytes in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). But the file size may vary when used in different versions of Operating Systems such as Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The program usually starts when the Personal Computer is Started and has the registry key of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. It is not recommended to remove the file, but the user may have the option to remove the file by removing the entire file in which the file is associated with.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. avgtray.exe. is used by AVG Internet Security , If you shut down avgtray.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop avgtray.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AVG Internet Security , from your system.
