The file avgemcx.exe is an instance of an executable and Windows process called by the service name AVG E-mail Scanner, which is a part of the security program AVG Internet Security, and is created by AVG Technologies CZ, s.r.o. AVG E-mail Scanner is exclusively for protection against viruses and spyware, which features full AVG LinkScanner safe search and surf technology. Basically, the component AVG E-mail Scanner, or avgemcx.exe, is an essential module that runs in the background, executed under the system account within the Windows OS, and launched by another file name called avgwdsvc.exe, which also belongs to AVG Internet Security by AVG Technologies CZ. It is recommended to keep the avgemcx.exe file and remain actively running on the computer system, because terminating it is not only enough to stop its function, but also disable the overall capabilities of the entire software. As other types of Windows modules, avgemcx.exe is a file that works perfectly in most versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. avgemcx.exe. is used by AVG Internet Security, If you shut down avgemcx.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
