Why can not I watch movies online?

This happens from approx. Two weeks. When I try to watch a video on any website (besides YouTube) gives me a green screen and video scrolls to the end. Then pops up the message "Shockwave Flash has crashed". I've tried to reinstall the plug and the same browser (currently I'm using google chrome, but on the other also it happens). I do not know what else to do, because I do not know much about computers, so please help. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Ola,

Try the steps below to see if it works:

1. Load a random video from one of these websites
2. Right-click on the video and click Settings. In the Settings screen that opens, click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel.
Now remove the check mark from the "Enable hardware acceleration" option and click on Close.
3. Try loading the video.

You can repeat the same steps in the other browser.

The other possibility is that a recent update for your DirectX installation or your video (graphics) card driver may have affected your flash video playback. You can undo the update or restore any recent changes and try testing the videos again.

Completely reinstalling Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave Player is also an option worth considering.

I hope this fixes the problem for you.

James

I kept getting the blue screen with Driver Power State Failure error message and then my computer would restart. I found your product and it did not happen any more. I just purchased an anti-virus (kaspersky) and now it is doing it again. It is so frustrating. My computer is only 6 months old. It is a Asus desktop.
