Oracle Forms can be opened in Internet Explorer only when you have properly configured the settings recommended by Oracle. You need to do follow the below points to get this working:
1. Add Oracle in Trusted sites First up we need to ensure that the Oracle site is added to the trusted sites. This unlocks several security blocks in place in Internet Explorer that may interfere with running tests on the web page.
Open Internet Explorer
Navigate to your Oracle web URL
Open the Internet Options
Security tab
Select Trusted sites
Uncheck Require server verification if your URL doesn’t start with https://
Click Add
Click close
Click Apply
2. Check Compatibility mode Older versions of Oracle forms ships with a hard coded version comparison for downloading the correct Java libraries when starting the Oracle forms. Unfortunately this is closely tied to the Internet Explorer version which means that without running Internet Explorer in compatibility mode, Oracle with simply not allow Java to run. If you configure Internet Explorer to run in compatibility mode however, Oracle will interpret it as an older version of Internet Explorer and the Java applet will run just fine.
Open Internet Explorer and navigate to your Oracle URL
In the Tools menu, click Compatibility View settings
Click Add
Click Close
3. Java version Before running any tests you need to ensure the correct version of Java is installed and that the applet can run properly. This can be done by simply logging in to the application and opening a forms page. This should prompt to install Java (1.6.27). Even though you may manage to install the correct version of Java, sometimes the applet simply won’t start. The issue may have to do with compatibility between your windows environment and this old version of Java. To fix this:
Open task manager (start menu and search for task manager)
Find any java processes and kill them (you may have to select More details to list all processes)
Find the Java installation directory bin folder (usually found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin)
Right click jp2launcher.exe
Click Properties
Select Compatibility tab
Press Change settings for all users
Check Run this program in compatibility mode for:
Select Windows 98 / Windows ME
Click OK
Click OK
Go back to the Oracle web page and open the form again.

When I connect an external microphone to the jack, it is not working. I can see it in the "Sound" tab, but the levels is very low. I have tried with several microphones.
