A few months ago I bought a new PC. I installed Windows 8 64 and as soon as I installed my Graphic Card drivers I got several problems. My computer just crashes random with a Bluescreen of Death witch sais "WHEA_Internal_Error". I tried to fix the problem with everything. I tried nearly every version of Graphic Card Drivers, updated my BIOS and even switched my operating system to Windows 7 64; same problem. NO it's not a thermal issue and YES it is caused by the Graphic Card. Please help me fixing this ;(.

Hi Tobias,

From what you've described, it is likely a hardware (memory) issue with one of your cards.

Some quick questions:

- Does the PC crash even without the cards installed?
- Have you tried testing your graphic cards one by one (separately)?
- Do you see an error code beside the WHEA_INTERNAL_ERROR?
- Which version of the Geforce driver do you have installed?

Hi Tobias,

There are many causes of this error like corruption of file system, unfinished installation of windows installer program, wrong registry entries in windows registry editor, virus attack, bugs attack, hard drive fails to communicate with BIOS request and Old or outdated Windows driver may cause error code 0x00000122-WHEA_INTERNAL_ERROR.

To solve WHEA_INTERNAL_ERROR problem safely, you can use sfc utility to do a full check for your system.

1. To do this, click Start, type Command Prompt or cmd in the Search box, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password.

2. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER
sfc /scannow

Some manual ways to fix this error code are given below:
  1. Update the old driver.
  2. Remove malicious or incompatible driver.
  3. If you install software or hardware or driver recently then remove them urgent because sometime it also cause this error.
  4. Scan entire PC using anti virus software.
  5. Start your PC in safe mode.
I hope this helps.

Regards,
Lokesh

I kept getting the blue screen with Driver Power State Failure error message and then my computer would restart. I found your product and it did not happen any more. I just purchased an anti-virus (kaspersky) and now it is doing it again. It is so frustrating. My computer is only 6 months old. It is a Asus desktop.
