Hello Thomas,
Thank you for posting your concern's here. I am sorry to hear about the freezing problem you are experiencing. If you started experiencing the problem after you have replaced your computer's motherboard, please check the following below. Peripherals properly connected. Please check your video card, rams(memory modules) and hard disk if it have been properly connected. You might have not properly connected these peripherals and devices that cause the freezing. Reinstall your game. Reinstalling your softwares, particularly the game that you are playing might fix the issue. Sometimes, the culprit might not be your new motherboard but the game itself. Cleaning your computer. Taking off dust and unwanted things inside your computer would probably solve the problem, try cleaning your computer from inside and out, the soft side which is the software side and the hardware side which is your system unit.

Hi Thomas,
This freezing may happen due to your graphics card getting overheated while you're using. To resolve this issue, you can try the below mentioned fixes. Fix 1: Uninstall the graphics card driver from Device Manager.
You can use FRAPS utility to measure your actual frame rate. Launch FRAPS before starting up your game, and look at the FPS figure it provides when you're in the game. Any time that little yellow counter drops below around 25-30 FPS or so, especially in fast-paced games, you're going to feel some amount of graphics lag. Fix 3: Check for known issues and updates for the game. Most software problems are not unique, and when you encounter one, it's likely that other people are having the same problem. Frequently, game publishers will issue updates that contain fixes to known problems. To learn more about known issues and get updates for games and devices, visit the game publisher's or device manufacturer's website. Fix 4: Update Microsoft DirectX It helps to create the special visual and audio effects that come with games. Many games rely on DirectX to help get more performance from your computer. Make sure that you have the latest version of DirectX so that you can take advantage of all of the latest features. Fix 5: Adjust game's settings. Most games have settings that allow you to control the resolution and level of detail that's displayed, as well as the quality of the audio. I hope this helps in getting the issue resolved. Regards, Lokesh |
