power button of laptop not working
i like this question0 Like ItFollowI have switched on my laptop after a month hut power does not work so its turning on moreover my room is just opposite to sea side can it be humidity prob if so plz helpOperating System:Answer this questionbest answer
Hi Malik,
Let's give this a try:
1. Disconnect all cables and pull out the power cord from your laptop
2. Take out your laptop battery and set it aside
3. Place your laptop in a well ventilated room
4. Press and hold the Power button down for 30 seconds
5. Reconnect the power cord and press the Power button to see if it turns on
5. You can then turn it off, put back the battery in and turn it on again
As for the humidity, I would recommend storing your laptop in a moisture-proof case or sleeve and keeping that away from the sunlight or windows.

Try removing the battery and the power supply and hold down the power button 30 seconds.
Now plug in the AC adapter and try to start it.
Yes a battery can be so dead it keeps the laptop from powering on. The power supply might also be dead but unlikely if the indicator light comes on next to where you plug it in.
