	Hi Debora, Have you installed the latest Windows 8 or 8.1 driver for your Wireless Network card (wifi device) ? Once you have installed the right driver, you need to turn on the wireless switch on your notebook, to scan and connect to a wireless network. Thanks for contacting us. Sorry to hear that you are facing this issue.
Please follow the beow steps:

Go to the Start Menu and select Control Panel.
Click the Network and Internet category and then select Networking and Sharing Centre.
From the options on the left-hand side, select Change adapter settings.
Right-click on the icon for Wireless Connection and click enable.
