Unable to install new usb devices and drivers

upon pluging a memory stick it tries to install the driver but then i get the message "device driver software was not successfully installed"
USB composite device X failed.

when accessing the device through device manager at faulty device and trying to update the driver i get message:
"windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device"
windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.

USB mass storage device
access denied.

What brand memory stick is it? I would recommend going to the website of the manufacturer and look for the driver in the support section of their website.

Mark hi: The problem is with any new USB device. even getting the correct driver i get the message the driver was not installed correctly. I get a message \" \"windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device\" windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. see pictures attached. 600dpi USB scanner access denied. do you have remote access service ?

OK that is helpful. I think you need to find the latest driver on the Toshiba website. I can help you find it. What is the full model number of your computer? It should be something like Portege R30-A1301

following your link I install the new toshiba driver TC30548400C.exe got an error \"the setup program failed to install one or more device drivers. setup will exit.\"

Can you please try and restarting your computer and then try and install the driver?

after restart i get same problem...maybe is there something we can do in safe mode..
