Hi Alan,
I'm guessing the system image restore is most likely the culprit here. I would recommend carrying out a repair installation of Windows 7 using your Windows 7 install disc and then reinstalling all your drivers. This way, you don't have to lose your data or do a clean install. How to perform a repair install: Turn on your computer, insert the Windows 7 installation disc or USB flash drive, and then turn off your computer.
