Hi Saumya,
Give these steps a try: 1. Disconnect your PC from the internet 2. Go to Control Panel > Uninstall a program > Click View installed updates Under Microsoft Windows > Find KB971033 > and Uninstall this update. 3. Go to Control Panel> Windows update > Change setting and select"Never check for updates" > OK 4. Next, click Start > Type "cmd" > Right-click on cmd > Choose Run as administrator Type in > slmgr -rearm hit Enter and then reboot your pc. After restarting your PC, you'll see that your copy of Windows has been activated. It is also a good idea to scan your computer for malware or other infections, before you start using your computer and turn on Windows Updates. For further reference: http://windows.micro... James |

Hi Saumya,
There appears to have been an issue with the Product key Activation/Validation servers that only effected a subset of Digitally Distributed Product keys. User affected by this issue should no longer be seeing this Non-Genuine/Key Blocked error. If you do still see this error: 1) Reboot and then re-try Activating or Validating. 2) If you still see the issue, please contact Microsoft Assisted Support (at one of the below URLs) North America: http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/cu_sc_genadv_master?ws=support&ws=support#tab4 Outside North America: http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?ws=support#tab0 I hope this helps. Thanks. Lokesh |
