Hi Kenneth, Can you please try holding Ctrl+Shift+N all at the same time to create a new folder? This is the keyboard shortcut. Has this been happening for a long time or only recently? Have you turned your computer off and then back on again since you have started seeing this problem?

Hi Kenneth, If this is a recent problem, try using the System Restore feature of Windows to restore your computer to an earlier time. That ought to undo any recent changes and eliminate the problem. Here are some additional solutions that you can try: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/cant-create-anymore-new-folders-in-windows-7/721a9129-c800-4224-8779-805dd6dfb80e ( There are 3 steps ) Good luck, James

  3. Right-click on Command Prompt from the search results list

If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue.
2. In the System Restore dialog box, click Choose a different restore point, and then click on Next.
3. In the list of restore points, click a restore point that was created before you began to experience the issue, and then click on Next.
