Hi Tony,

While using Windows Store you may face some occasional errors and one these errors is The server Stumbled Windows Store error. The error pops up when you try to download any Windows Store app. It can also occur when you try to view a Windows Store app.

You can try the below fixes in order to resolve this issue:

Fix 1: Running commands
  1. Close the Windows Store window if it is open.
  2. Press the hotkey Win+X and select the Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu that shows up. This will start the elevated command prompt in your PC.Windows Store - Server Stumbled Error
  3. In the elevated command prompt type the following command, and press Enter key after each line:
  • sc stop wuauserv
  • sc stop WSService
  • ping yahoo.com
  • sc start wuauserv
  • sc WSService

Windows Store - Server Stumbled Error

Now try accessing the Windows Store again by clicking on its task bar shortcut. It should work without any problems now.

Fix 2: Try restarting your PC/laptop
At times, the error could be a temporary error that might have occurred because some crucial sub-task might have ended unexpectedly. In such cases, a quick restart can fix the problem with your PC. So, perform a quick restart and see if that fixes the “The server stumbled” Widows Store error.

Fix 3: Try turning On/Off Automatic Time Option
  1. Click on Date and Time in the taskbar (desktop right-bottom).
  2. Next, click on Date and Time settings.
  3. Turn off Set Time Automatically by sliding the toggle to left.Turn off set times automatically
  4. Below that click on Change button. Now set the time to few hours late. If the current time is 12:00, set it to 20:00.
  5. Click on Change button to save the settings. Close the Time and Date window.
Now try to open the Windows Store. You will see the server stumbled error 0X80072EE7 again. Close the Windows Store.
Now again you have to open Date and Time settings. So, click on Date and Time and then click on Date and Time Settings.
This time, turn on Set Time Automatically. Close date and time window and open Windows Store.
If you don’t see the server stumbled Windows Store error 0X80072EE7, the fix has worked for you.

Fix 4: Disable Antivirus & Firewall

The Stumbled Server Windows Store error can also occur because your Antivirus is blocking the network access to Windows Store server. Your Antivirus might accidentally consider the connection to Windows Store insecure and block it.
This would result in “The stumbled server” Windows Store error.
What you can do here is turn off Antivirus temporarily and try to download any app from the Windows Store.

I hope this helps in resolving this error.

Regards,
Lokesh
