The wtxregds.exe process is an EXE program file packaged with other executable application process items, certain modular Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files, some SYS driver files, specific background processes and various associated components that are required by the Tornado software for implementing VxSim functionalities into the system. The Tornado software is a network system and database management application that was developed by IBM for remote and Web server operating system integration. The wtxregds.exe process is deployed as one of the components of the VxWorks Simulator module, which is an applet built into the IBM Tornado software, and this module is responsible for registering remote and Web server system events, logs and entities among other tasks. The wtxregds.exe file is placed in the remote and Web server system upon the installation and configuration of the IBM Tornado software and its VxWorks Simulator module, which also means the wtxregds.exe process is implemented into the installer distribution packages of the IBM Tornado software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. wtxregds.exe. is used by IBM Tornado and IBM VxWorks Simulator Module, If you shut down wtxregds.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop wtxregds.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is IBM Tornado and IBM VxWorks Simulator Module, from your system.
