The wlkeeper.exe is also known as the Wireless LAN Keeper and it was created by the Intel Wireless. The Wireless LAN Keeper is installed as a component of the drivers for the Intel Wireless adapter. This program is necessary to enable the connection to the subscribed wireless network. The program creates the IP address as well as authenticates the connection. It continuously checks for the wireless signal as it runs quietly in the background while it passes information to the user’s operating system in order to figure out the connection status of the user. The Wireless LAN Keeper is related to the user’s wireless connection; therefore it is essential for this program to be left in “Automatic” mode. However, sometimes the WLANKEEPER is needed to be disabled on some computers in order to permit Windows in managing the wireless card, instead of WLANKEEPER itself. Users find this program to be useful and necessary to enable the operation of their computer system.
