The wlanmon.exe process is also known as Wireless LAN Monitor or WlanMonitor and it belongs to Conceptronic, being owned by ProDyne or PLANET Technology. There is very minimal information regarding this process. An icon is present for this process on the taskbar alongside the clock. The process is not visible. The process can be removed from the Control Panel’s Add/Remove programs applet. The process is not a Windows system file. The process contains a security rating of 27% dangerous, which makes it relatively safe to operate according to the users; it is generally more prudent if the user executes this process under vigilant conditions within his or her computer system; in order to reduce any possible threats to the user’s computer system, the user needs to be aware of the possibilities that this process may contain some possible dangers, such as spyware, virus, worm, and any other potential dangers (which makes this process vulnerable to virus writers) that needs to be wary of, as well taking immediate measures which can be utilized whenever this program is being executed in order to ensure the security for the user’s computer system. It may be advisable to keep this program running and not removed it as removing it might cause the computer system to behave in an unpredictable manner.
