The wksvmgr.exe process is an executable component file deployed into the WIBUKey system, which is a Dongle-based software product developed by WIBU-Systems AG for computers that run on widely used versions of Microsoft Windows. The WIBUKey Dongle-based program is embedded with a set of features for securely implementing software licensing and registration procedures for various Windows applications that have been secured by WIBU-Systems copy protection technology. The wksvmgr.exe process assists the Dongle-based WIBUKey software in implementing the licensing and registration security protocols implemented into certain applications using WIBU-Systems copy protection technology, and in updating these licensing and registration security details via secure remote access functionalities. The wksvmgr.exe process is specifically deployed as the WIBUKey Server Manager application, which is a small program built into the Dongle-based WIBUKey software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. wksvmgr.exe. is used by WIBUKey and WIBUKey Server Manager Application, If you shut down wksvmgr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop wksvmgr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is WIBUKey and WIBUKey Server Manager Application, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as WIBUKey and WIBUKey Server Manager Application, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.

The first thing you should do if wksvmgr.exe. is causing errors on your computer is to run a Windows registry scan with Registry Reviver If you are still seeing errors after this you should uninstall the program that wksvmgr.exe, belongs to, in this case WIBUKey and WIBUKey Server Manager Application
