The webshots.scr process is a component application file included with other program resource files, certain Dynamic Link Library (DLL) modules, some SYS driver files, various background process items and associated components that are used and referenced by the Webshots Desktop software. This is a Windows program classified as a digital photo manager application that was developed with a set of features for accessing many different desktop themes, wallpapers, screensavers and digital images or photos from the Web servers of its developers, and these visual components can be downloaded unto the client computer and implemented into the Windows-based system with the use of the Webshots Desktop software. The webshots.scr file is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of the Webshots Desktop application, which also means the webshots.scr file is integrated into the installer distribution packages of the Webshots Desktop software. The webshots.scr file is specifically deployed as one of the resource files used by the Webshots Desktop software for the Webshots Photo Manager module, its Graphical User Interface (GUI) and for certain dialogue box components.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. webshots.scr. is used by The Webshots Desktop and Webshots Photo Manager Module, If you shut down webshots.scr, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop webshots.scr, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is The Webshots Desktop and Webshots Photo Manager Module, from your system.
