The wcmmon.exe file is an EXE application process bundled with other executable program files, modular DLL resources, certain SYS drivers, some background processes and various associated components that are required by the Webcam Max software. This is a Windows program classified as a Web camera management tool that was developed with a set of features for configuring video conferencing and video chat settings to improve the video chat and conferencing experience of the user with his or her Web camera and Windows-based computer. The wcmmon.exe process is specifically deployed as a component of the Webcam Max Alert System module, which is an applet built into the Webcam Max software responsible for displaying pop-up notifications in the event of any activity performed by the Web camera that is connected to the system. The wcmmon.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of the Webcam Max software, which also means the wcmmon.exe process is integrated into the installer distribution packages of the Webcam Max program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. wcmmon.exe. is used by Webcam Max and Webcam Max Alert System Module, If you shut down wcmmon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop wcmmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Webcam Max and Webcam Max Alert System Module, from your system.
