The washersvc.exe process is an executable program file bundled with other EXE application resources, certain SYS components, some Dynamic Link library modules, various background processes and associated components that are used by the Window Washer software. This is a Windows program classified as a system security and Internet browsing privacy tool that was developed by Webroot Software with a set of features for cleaning Web browsing data and safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in order to protect user privacy. The washersvc.exe process is specifically deployed as the main component of the Window Washer Engine module, which is a core applet built into the Window Washer software. The washersvc.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of the Window Washer software, which also means the washersvc.exe process is integrated into the installer distribution packages of the Window Washer application.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. washersvc.exe. is used by Webroot Window Washer and Window Washer Engine Module, If you shut down washersvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop washersvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Webroot Window Washer and Window Washer Engine Module, from your system.
