Termed by the service name Authentium Quarantine Service, also called as Quarantine Service or vseqrts Application, the process vseqrts.exe is an instance of an executable or EXE file, and is a component of the software product known as AVSDK5, which is created by Authentium or Commtouch. When the program AVSDK5 is installed, the vseqrts.exe file is downloaded onto the computer, where it is stored on a folder location, usually labeled as C:\Program Files, if not in C:\Windows or C:\Documents and Settings, registered into the Windows registry with registry keys and execution command, and then automatically runs in the background, to basically execute its function, which may include the launching of other bundled modules. Moreover, AVSDK5 or vseqrts.exe is compatible with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, which include later or new versions, such as Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. vseqrts.exe. is used by AVSDK5, If you shut down vseqrts.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop vseqrts.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AVSDK5, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
