The process serves as a security measure to protect your computer from unwanted intruders, not in the form of viruses; but in the form of unauthorized users who are trying to access your computer. The file may already come installed in laptops that have a fingerprint scanner or reader. The file is licensed under and verified by Authentec Inc. The file that comes in product version 5.9.7.7250 has a standard size of 83.35 KB. The file is usually stored in its standard image disk path of C:\Program Files\Protector Suite\upeksvr.exe. RAM file size is 6.93 MB. Memory utilization for committed memory is 121.74 MB, working set memory is 17.34 MB, non-page system memory is 23.16 MB, and paged system memory is 223.95 KB. Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. upeksvr.exe. is used by Fingerprint Server Process, If you shut down upeksvr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop upeksvr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Fingerprint Server Process, from your system.
