MgiSvr is the process that loads through the executable file ucammonitor.exe. This is part of the software for ArcSoft Magic-I Visual Effects which is utilized by users when they are video chatting with friends. This Web camera application runs as a background task. It is recommended that the file be enabled to run with system startup so the user can fully take advantage of its benefits; however, it can also be disabled if you will not be using your Web camera any time soon. You may also have to disable your Web camera if a startup error occurs because the ucammonitor.exe file cannot be located by the system, and yet, it can detect your Web camera; this could create a conflict if the Web camera is detected by the system but a component of it is nowhere to be found. The software is published by ArcSoft, Inc. The file can usually be seen saved in the following folder path: C:\Program Files\ArcSoft\Magic-I Visual Effects 2\ucammonitor.exe.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ucammonitor.exe. is used by MgiSvr, If you shut down ucammonitor.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ucammonitor.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is MgiSvr, from your system.
