Also known as TR as its service name, the process tr.exe, which is a type of an executable or EXE file, is a part of the software called Project Reality and also Project Reality version BF2, which is developed by Project Reality and Black Sand Studios. Project Reality or PR is a first-person shooter video game program that comes in a series game, which main objective is to create a realistic combat environment, and helps players build teamwork and cooperation to achieve the goal. When the game software is downloaded onto the computer, tr.exe is also installed, stored on a file folder location usually in C:\Program Files, registered into the Windows registry, and starts to run in the background to execute its function, and launch other modules that are bundled in the program. This video game software that houses tr.exe is compatible with versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. tr.exe. is used by Project Reality, If you shut down tr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop tr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Project Reality, from your system.
