What is  tpam.exe

The file tpam.exe is also known as 32-bit executable for TPAM, a Terminal Emulator from IBM used to connect to mainframes through the SNA. It provides extensive host connectivity and emulation, helps the users in capitalizing on the existing investments and extend applications to Web-based technologies. It features 3270, 5250 and VT emulation, FTP client, SNA Application support, and SNA and TCP/IP connectivity. It als has extensive API support that includes Emulator High-Level Language Applications Programming Interface (EHLLAPI), through programming languages such as C++, VBScript, and Java. It also enables the users to access the mission-critical business systems. The file is located in the subfolder of “C|Program Files” with a size of 28,672 bytes on Windows 7 or Windows XP. The program automatically starts upon booting up of Windows startup with a registry key of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Tpam.exe is not a core file of the Windows. If problems occur with IBM Personal Communications of _PCOMM581, the user may uninstall or remover the program from the control panel Add/Remove programs applet
