The process that is simply known as TosA2dp, which is installed through the executable file tosa2dp.exe, is part of the driver that installs Toshiba Bluetooth Stack. The file is saved in the following directory, and written as such: C:\Program Files\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\ tosa2dp.exe. The software is designed specifically for Windows, and enables users to connect wirelessly via a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi platform. It is not recommended that you disable it because the software does not only provide support for Toshiba Bluetooth Stack. It is also being used by third-party applications, or hardware. This was further corroborated by users’ experiences, where the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability of their machines was disabled when they disabled the tosa2dp.exe file. The file uses about 5 MB of CPU RAM. It is therefore not considered as a heavy CPU user, so it can run together with other applications or processes, without overriding them, or rendering them unable to function correctly.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. tosa2dp.exe. is used by Toshiba Bluetooth Stack, If you shut down tosa2dp.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop tosa2dp.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Toshiba Bluetooth Stack, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Toshiba Bluetooth Stack, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
