The Trend Micro OfficeScan client software is classified as a network system security application that was developed for client computers that run on Windows-based systems, and these Trend Micro software products are system security tools that were developed with a set of functionalities for monitoring and protecting Windows-based systems against hacker attacks, possible data security risks, user privacy threats and system stability problems caused by malicious applications like Trojans, viruses, worms, spyware programs and other malware items. The tmpreflt.sys process is specifically deployed as one of the components of the Trend Micro PreFilter module, which is an applet built into the Trend Micro OfficeScan client software, and this module is also embedded in other Trend Micro software products. The tmpreflt.sys file is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of the Trend Micro OfficeScan client software and other Trend Micro programs, which also means the tmpreflt.sys process is integrated into the installer distributions of these Trend Micro software products.
