The time.exe file is an EXE application process included with other executable program resource files, some modular DLL (Dynamic Link Library) files, certain SYS driver files, particular background process items and various associated components that are needed by the firmware distributions and driver software packages of certain Dell printing devices. The time.exe process is integrated into the installer distribution packages of these Dell printer firmware and driver software components, which also means the time.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of these Dell firmware resources and device driver software distributions. The time.exe file and the associated Dell printer firmware and driver software resources are implemented with compatibility support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows. The time.exe process contains sequential command lines, application-specific instructions and modular resource directives that are executed by the associated Dell printer firmware or driver software component, in order for the time.exe file to call on other program resources and to reference DLL modules that are required for implementing the set of features requested by the user from the supported Dell printer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. time.exe. is used by Dell Printer Firmware and Driver Software, If you shut down time.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop time.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Dell Printer Firmware and Driver Software, from your system.
