What is  tftray.exe

The tftray.exe process is an executable program file included with other EXE application resources, certain Dynamic Link Library (DLL) modules, some SYS drivers, specific background processes and various associated resource components that are required by the Threatfire software. This is a Windows program classified as a system security tool developed by PC Tools with a set of functionalities for monitoring and protecting Windows-based systems against data security risks, user privacy threats and system stability problems caused by hacker attacks and malicious applications like spyware components, backdoor rootkit applications, Trojans, worms, viruses and other malware programs. The tftray.exe process is specifically deployed as a component of the PC Tools Threatfire Tray App module, which is an applet built into the Threatfire software, and this module is responsible for implementing Threatfire context menu selection functionalities into the Windows System Tray. This module is also said to be responsible for integrating some of the Trojan detection features of the Threatfire software into the system. The tftray.exe process is implemented into the system upon the installation of the Threatfire application, which also means the tftray.exe file is packaged into the installer distributions of the PC Tools Threatfire program.
