The tfnf5.exe file is a part of the program TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility for Display Devices, a product made by TOSHIBA Corporation. The file process tfnf5.exe is primarily used for the hotkey utility on all TOSHIBA computers and laptops, by installing itself when any TOSHIBA drivers are added for the hotkey function. A user can switch his or her computer’s output screen by pressing the key FN and F5 at the same time. When he or she does press those keys, a screen selection shows up that says LCD, and refers to the output screen. This tfnf5.exe file is a non-essential process, and the user can optionally disable or enable it, but must be remained in the computer system if the user wants to use the F5 key in the future. Like other executable files, the tfnf5.exe process is stored and located in the folder C:\Program Files, or sometimes in the folder C:\Windows.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. tfnf5.exe. is used by TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility, If you shut down tfnf5.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop tfnf5.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility, from your system.
