The temp2.exe process is often classified as malware with a high rating (73% and higher) of security risk. It has been identified as BKDR_SMALL.DDE, as the irc.momma worm and also as a variant from the Trojan Horse family of malicious applications. Among the common problems associated with this virus are interference with online preferences (changes in the user’s homepage and attempts to connect to certain websites), sudden interruption and closing of certain processes, crashing after installing operating system updates, overuse of the CPU, and system error messages on startup. Its location is the C:\Windows\System32 folder and it has a file size of 2,085 bytes on Windows 7/XP. This executable file is not a core file of Windows, although it may be found in the Windows folder. The author of this file is unknown. It does not have a visible window, although it uses unencrypted TCP/IP network ports to access the Internet or LAN.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. temp2.exe. is used by BKDR_SMALL.DDE and irc.momma Worm and Trojan Horse, If you shut down temp2.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop temp2.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is BKDR_SMALL.DDE and irc.momma Worm and Trojan Horse, from your system.
