TeamViewer Remote Control Application is the process that is generated when you execute the file teamviewer.exe. This is the executable file extension for the software TeamViewer. The software provides users with tools for connecting to a remote desktop via the Internet. Through the file, users from different locations can hold real-time online conferences, share files and pretty much access another’s computer without having to be physically present at the location of the other PC. Administrators can also work on computer issues without having to directly work on the PC as if they were sitting right in front of it. To ensure that the remote connection is safe from unauthorized people who wish to access the PC, connection is established only after the host or the client provides a valid username/ID and password. The process is executed through the file’s parent process, teamviewer_service.exe. Users can find the file installed in C:\Program Files\TeamViewer\Version6\teamviewer.exe. This version, 7.0.15723.0, is compatible with Windows XP, Windows 7 Home Premium and Ultimate, and Windows 8 Pro. Common file size is 7.5 MB.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. teamviewer.exe. is used by TeamViewer Remote Control Application, If you shut down teamviewer.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop teamviewer.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is TeamViewer Remote Control Application, from your system.
