Developed by Wave Systems Corporation, TDMNotify.exe is the process file for Trusted Drive Manager, the software that functions mainly as the authentication notifier for PCs. The software restricts network and data access to unauthorized users. Digital certificate: an electronic card for establishing the user’s credentials when doing business on the Web. One-Time Password (OTP): a randomly-generated character or alphanumeric combinations that works once. Smart card: a small rectangular card that resembles any credit card, with embedded microchip which securely stores user credentials. Wave System’s solution: Start with the device. The Wave approach allows the user to confirm both the identities of the user and the device itself. It provides additional security level. It is utilized using the Trusted Platform Modules or the security chips which are embedded in most laptops and mobile phones to identify individual user. When turned on, the user gets to know who is on his network, and with whom/what.
