The taskpanl.exe process is an executable file integrated with other EXE files, DLL modules, SYS driver files and associated components that are required by the TotalAccess software, which is a Windows application classified as an ISP (Internet Service Provider) client program that is provided by MCI to the subscribers of their data and voice subscription services. The taskpanl.exe process is implemented into the installer distribution packages of the MCI TotalAccess software as part of its main components, which means the taskpanl.exe file is deployed into the system upon the installation of the MCI TotalAccess software. The taskpanl.exe process contains sequential command lines, application-specific instructions and modular resource directives that are encoded with program logic compilation specifications and integrated with data compression standards normally used for source code stored in the EXE file format.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. taskpanl.exe. is used by MCI TotalAccess, If you shut down taskpanl.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop taskpanl.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is MCI TotalAccess, from your system.
