The sysupd.exe is used as a file name for various malicious applications, according to many user reports. First, it has been linked to a Dialer program where it attempts to disconnect the user’s Internet connection. This non-system process then proceeds to dial a toll number at steep rates. The charges would then appear on the user’s phone bill. It is alternatively known as the TSCash spyware application. This executable program may be found in the user’s system32 folder. As an acknowledged security risk, sysupd.exe should be immediately deleted from the user’s system. Other occurrences of sysupd.exe are also viral. It is commonly part of the W32 Supernova worm that was multiplied by KaZaA users especially in Germany. It could also be a file that is needed to launch the Alchemy Search or Alchemy Viewer Version 6. Users are advised to remove this file if they are not Alchemy viewers. The creator of this background spyware is unknown.
