The synergys.exe file is deployed as a component of the Synergy Server module that was developed by Bolton Software Ltd. It is also known as Synergy Server and is part of the Synergy application. This program is an open source program that enables several connected computer systems to share a single mouse and keyboard over LAN/WAN/remote network connections. No particular hardware is necessary, even if the computers may have differing operating systems. The ideal target of this program is users who have many computers, with every system using its own display. The major risk associated with this process involves privacy. Unencrypted data regarding the input from the mouse and keyboard are being sent throughout the network. It is suggested that information be encrypted with SSH in order to improve security. Bolton Software Ltd. signed this file digitally via Symantec time Stamping Services. Synergys.exe is located in C:\Program Files or in a C:\ subfolder.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. synergys.exe. is used by Synergy, If you shut down synergys.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop synergys.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Synergy, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
