This software is a client for secure, encrypted communication that includes file transfer across networks. It can be used to connect to any server that supports the SSH (Secure shell) protocol such as Ruby and Isis. SSH protects data communication, remote shell services, and other services between two networked computers through public-key cryptography that authenticates the remote computer and if necessary, authenticates the user. Use of this application ensures that the username and password cannot be captured by malware while connecting to a remote system, which is a common way used by hackers to access personal data that can be used maliciously. SSH Secure Shell, sometimes called the Secure Socket Shell, is a Unix-based command interface and protocol that is used by network administrators to control Web and other kinds of servers remotely.
