The ssdal_nc.exe process is the executable file for Seagull printer driver. The program is owned by Seagull Scientific, the first company to design Windows printer drivers. Ssdal_nc.exe works by automatically accessing the Windows’ Print Manager, print spooler, high-speed network printing, font capabilities, advanced control for printer port, and other Microsoft functions and features. Ssdal_nc.exe performs printer configuration, diagnostics, and all management functions such as printer calibration, stored files management, formatting and configuring printer memory, and printing tests and diagnostic labels. Seagull printers offer a wide variety of downloadable fonts, making the printing job easier and faster. Ssdal_nc.exe‘s logging functions create log files of print information such as user’s name, job name, date and time, as well as job start, pause, delete, restart, and the print code that generates the printing job. These features implement automatic template and graphic caching as they are stored in the printer for use at any time. The advanced features of Seagull printers include “Printer Offline”, “Ribbon and Label Out”, and “Toner Low” status displays among others.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ssdal_nc.exe. is used by Seagull print drivers, If you shut down ssdal_nc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ssdal_nc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Seagull print drivers, from your system.
