The ssa.exe process is an executable file integrated with the other program files, modular DLLs and system drivers that are required by the Sympatico Security Advisor software, which is a Windows program classified as a system security tool that was designed with a set of functions for monitoring, detecting and protecting the system against Internet threats, vulnerable system exploits, information theft, hacker attacks and spyware-related activities among other malicious applications. The ssa.exe process is incorporated into the installer distribution packages of the Sympatico Security Advisor software, which means the ssa.exe process is placed in the system upon the installation of the Sympatico Security Advisor program and the other files, modules and system drivers that are needed by this application to perform its intended operations.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ssa.exe. is used by Sympatico Site Advisor, If you shut down ssa.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ssa.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Sympatico Site Advisor, from your system.
