The srvsvc.dll file is the server service library that works as a file system driver. It directly transacts with several file system drivers to meet the I/O requests that are issued. It provides the connections which the redirectors on the side of the user require. Then the srvsvc.dll file gives these redirectors access to the resources they require. The process starts when a remote computer sends a request to srvsvc.dll to read a file that is located on the local terminal. Upon the request, the lower level network drivers send the request to the service driver. After this, srvsvc.dll will send the request to a specific local file system driver. The file system driver prompts the lower level drivers to reach the file. The srvsvc.dll file has the capability to send back the information to the lower level drivers so that the request that the remote computer has sent will be satisfied.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. srvsvc.dll. is used by Microsoft Outlook Express, If you shut down srvsvc.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop srvsvc.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft Outlook Express, from your system.
