When you execute the file srtsp.sys, a program called Symantec AutoProtect will be installed in your machine. The main purpose of the application is to provide your computer with real-time protection against incoming threats. When the program detects a security threat, or has detected an activity that could be a risk to PC health; the program will automatically capture the threat, and delete it or put it under quarantine. The program checks emails and their attachments, files stored in the system, and checks every activity made on the computer, such opening a file or saving a document; to make sure that these activities are not security risks to the system. The file is stored, by default, to C:\Windows\System 32\drivers. This file is not considered a security threat. It is recommended that the file will launch with startup, and keep it running as a background process, to ascertain that all threats are detected and addressed accordingly by the process.
