The file spysub.exe, known as SpySubtract Program EXE, belongs to software SpySubtract by Intermute. SpySubtract is anti-spyware software that features unique tools to block, detect, and remove spyware and adware. It has an uncluttered interface and provides other features in addition to the antispyware scanning tools. A tool called 'Gator Slayer' automatically detects and removes Gator components, while the 'Venus Fly Trap' that is a spyware blocking component detects and identifies attempted adware and spyware installations as they occur. It has a spy sleuth option to locate where the spyware components were downloaded and determines the items that were downloaded with them. In addition to removing spyware and adware, it has a unique feature that cleans up Internet usage files so no one can track your activities. This feature enables users to delete the Internet Browser cache and history, remove media player, real player, and Windows search history, and delete temporary files and recycle bin history.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. spysub.exe. is used by SpySubtract, If you shut down spysub.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop spysub.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is SpySubtract, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
