The shadowbar.exe file is a process for the ShadowBar Module, a HP user interface. It is an executable file that contains instructions to configure and run the HP user interface (UI) in the system. The ShadowBar user interface is a junction between the user and the HP webOs platform program. It has set of controls and commands for users to communicate with the program. It also has default style settings to have readable text and operate quickly. The supported HP UI interacts with the HP webOS platforms such as the Palm webOS. The HP webOs is designed for mobile, battery-operated devices with a touch-driven UI. The interaction of the platform and the UI is centered on one application at a time. Once the applications were launched, they continue to run until closed even when moved out of the foreground. The UI has two types. A command-driven interface which enter commands and a menu-driven interface which selects command choices from various menus displayed on the screen. The HP user interface is a menu-driven interface.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. shadowbar.exe. is used by ShadowBar Module or HP user interface, If you shut down shadowbar.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop shadowbar.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ShadowBar Module or HP user interface, from your system.
